Founder Files is Creative Entrepreneurs’ flagship event series, where we hear from the most inspiring, world-leading creative founders. Our next instalment is on Tuesday 23 November on Zoom, and features art entrepreneur Marine Tanguy, the founder of MTArt Agency which is shaking up the art world.
Marine has been an advocate for aspiring visual artists from a young age. She had her first taste of gallery management at just 21 years old – and at 23, she opened her first art gallery in LA. Marine felt the traditional gallery model was restrictive and ‘elitist’. So she launched MTArt Agency in 2015 with two goals in mind: to empower and support the next rising stars of the art world and to make art accessible to everyone, everywhere.
MTArt is the world’s first talent agency for visual artists and a ‘Certified B Corporation’ (a business that balances purpose and profit). I should also say that MTArt is the first UK company in the arts sector to have achieved this – a significant accolade.
With offices in London, Paris, Madrid and Monaco, MTArt reviews around 200 portfolios every month to unearth the most exceptional artistic talent. As well as representing artists, the agency works with brands, cultural organisations and public bodies on a range of art-driven projects, one of the most notable being the largest public painting in the world: the Beyond Walls Project by Saype.
Marine herself has won numerous awards, including Forbes 30 under 30 (Europe 2018: Art & Culture) and UK Entrepreneur of the Year (2019 NatWest Everywoman Awards).
At our upcoming Founder File, I’ll be talking to Marine about how she got her start in business, her passion for bringing art to the masses and her plans for the future. I’ll also be digging deep to glean tips and advice for aspiring creative entrepreneurs on how to build their own successful business.
This is an unmissable Founder File, no matter what creative sector you’re in or where you are in your entrepreneurial journey. It’s not often you get to hear directly from someone like Marine. Her many accomplishments are just one of the reasons we’ve chosen her to be our guest speaker – her passion for what she does is another.
So, mark your calendars: Tue, 23 November 2021 – 18:00 to 19:00 GMT. Register to attend here, and we’ll send you joining information for Zoom nearer the time.
I look forward to seeing you there.
