D&AD Festival is cancelled – but the Pencil Awards will still go ahead digitally

March 30th 2020

The D&AD CEO,¬†Patrick Burgoyne, has announced that, due to the outbreak of Coronavirus, this year’s festival will no longer take place. They will be contacting all speakers, partners and ticket holders with further information in due course. The New Blood Festival is also under review.

D&AD’s commitment to celebrating and supporting the creative community remains as strong as ever, so the Pencil Awards will still go ahead, and the panel of jurors will judge all entries digitally. D&AD are currently exploring new ways to provide winners with the platform to impress and access the industry in this current digital reality, and are working with partners, universities and sponsors to make sure they are given the jump start that they deserve.

“D&AD has always stimulated and celebrated creative excellence, in the belief that great work is always worthwhile, producing as it does better outcomes for all. If this was important before it remains important, and will be important again.”¬†CEO, Patrick Bugoyne
