My debut book “The Creative Entrepreneur” was published exactly one week ago today, on Thursday 6 February 2025, a date I’ll always remember. Today I woke up to the most jaw-dropping news – I learned it’s now officially a #1 Best Seller on Amazon!
Such a milestone has given me pause for thought. Anyone who knows me knows that my life’s work is championing creativity, and particularly empowering everyone in the creative sector economically – – to let them see that successful business is what lets their creativity get into the world and take flight.
So when I set out to write this book, my mission was clear—to empower creative entrepreneurs with the inspiration, tools and confidence they need to navigate the business side of their craft without losing their creative spark. Too often, creatives avoid business, fearful it means a creative sell-out, or thinking they can’t grasp it. I wanted this book to show that, with the right understanding, creatives can use business to thrive, not just survive.
And most importantly, I wanted to give them role models. I’ve seen time and time again that this is the most urgent missing piece of supporting creatives in business, role models whom creatives can relate to, who can show them that they too can be successful at business and proud of it.
So the book unveils for the first time these great untold stories, the entrepreneurial stories of 10 creative icons.
The launch event at The Magazine at Serpentine North was a vivid reflection of that mission. The room was filled with some of the most creative minds in the world —visionaries, artists, and innovators who push boundaries every day. Being surrounded by such talent reminded me exactly why this work matters. Creativity deserves to flourish, and that means giving creatives the representation, knowledge and support to turn their passion into sustainable success.
Seeing the book reach bestseller status is not just a personal milestone—it’s a sign that there is a real hunger for this message. The stories shared in this book are proof that creativity and business can coexist beautifully. Each entrepreneur featured has carved out their own path, balancing artistry with strategy, and I’m beyond grateful that their journeys are resonating with so many of you.
To everyone who has supported this project—whether you attended the launch, bought the book, shared it with a friend, talked about it on social or simply sent words of encouragement—thank you. This book is as much yours as it is mine.
If you haven’t grabbed your copy yet, you can find it here.
My hope is that it inspires you to pursue your creative dreams with confidence, knowing that you can build something extraordinary without losing what makes your work so completely original as your own unique expression.
