Ajaz Ahmed shares the inside story of how he combined creativity with tech to build iconic digital design agency AKQA.

On the evening of Thursday 12 October 2017, in partnership with the Design Museum, Creative Entrepreneurs presented the seventh instalment of its flagship in-conversation series The Founder Files. This time, we featured Ajaz Ahmed, founder of world leading innovation company AKQA. As always, we chose an iconic creative space, this time being the Design Museum's state of the art Bakala auditorium.

The live audience were fascinated to hear Ajaz’s story of how, from his start as a 21-year- old university drop-out, he built AKQA into a global powerhouse. With lively Q&A, Ajaz recounted his incredibly inspiring entrepreneurial journey, including tips on building a design-based business and continuing to innovate.

In addition to the live audience at the Design Museum, the event also reached over 17.5K people on Creative Entrepreneurs' Facebook livestream.

“I’m delighted to be involved with the important work of Creative Entrepreneurs in bringing together the business support and inspiration creative people so often lack. Learning from the stories of other entrepreneurs has always been important to me, so I am very happy to be able to share my own story and to help the next generation succeed in starting their own creative businesses."
