£50,000 prize fund. £100,000 worth of business support. 5 winners.
DBACE - the Deutsche Bank Awards for Creative Entrepreneurs, in partnership with MeWe360 - are returning for their 26th year. The awards aim to celebrate ambitious creative entrepreneurs who are on a mission to create and sustain social value within their communities.
Applicants from all backgrounds between the ages of 18 and 30 are welcome. You don’t need to have already set up your business - the programme aims to help people to translate their creative ideas into a reality. You must have a strong idea or an existing enterprise in the creative industries, with a mission to make a positive social impact.
There are a ton of resources and tips on their website to help with the application process - including a glossary of business terms and video pitch advice - so if the prospect of presenting a business model fills you with dread, don’t let this deter you! Read about the application process here.
Winners receive up to £20,000 to start or grow their business, as well as 12 months business support with MeWe360 and Deutsche Bank’s mentors, business and leadership training and much more.
The 2019 awards received 400 entries from across the UK, judged by a panel of six experts in their creative fields - including one of our own inspiring members, Liv Little, founder and CEO of gal-dem.
“There is real value in DBACE as an award that enables young people to start or grow their creative ventures and at the same time celebrates the potential of the creative industries to drive positive social impact” Alan Bishop, CEO, Creative Industries Federation.
Deadline for submissions - 31st March.
