- Roksanda Ilincic shares the inside story of how she built her iconic fashion brand to become a top name in the creative industries.
On the evening of Wednesday 17 May 2017, in partnership with the Design Museum, Creative Entrepreneurs presented The Founder Files with iconic fashion designer Roksanda Ilincic at the Design Museum's state of the art Bakala auditorium.
Giving enthusiastic feedback, the live audience were fascinated to hear Roksanda share her as-yet untold and incredibly inspiring entrepreneurial journey, including tips on building a fashion business, even without any business background, as she did herself. She also shared her unique approach to creativity, including the development of her new approach to shape and colour which has so captured the imagination of the fashion world.
In addition to the live audience at the Design Museum, the event also reached 40,000+ people on Creative Entrepreneurs' facebook livestream, which you can still watch HERE.

In the decade since it launched at London Fashion Week in 2005, the ROKSANDA fashion house has evolved an unmistakable woman-centered design aesthetic. Having combined Architecture and Fashion at The University of The Arts back home in Belgrade, Serbia, Roksanda moved to London to study Fashion under Professor Louise Wilson at Central Saint Martins. In 2003 she made her first appearance at London Fashion Week.
Today the label is stocked in over 50 countries worldwide in some of the most prestigious luxury retailers including Harrods, Selfridges and Harvey Nichols in London, Lane Crawford and Joyce in Hong Kong, Neiman Marcus, Saks and Nordstrom in the US and Net A Porter, Matchesfashion and MyTheresa online. In 2014, Roksanda opened her first dedicated retail space at 9 Mount Street in Mayfair, London, designed in collaboration with architect David Adjaye OBE.
Roksanda has received multiple awards and nominations for her work including Womenswear Designer Of The Year at the Fashion Awards and Businesswoman of the Year at Harper’s Bazaar UK’s Women of the Year Awards. Her name can also be found in the Business of Fashion 500, a global index of the people shaping the fashion industry.
